Nearly 4,000 events are planned in more than 160 countries for the International Day of Climate Action on 24 October 2009 — the most widespread day of political action in history.

It’s a call to action by the 350.org campaign: “On 24 October, we will stand together as one planet and call for a fair global climate treaty. United by a common call to action, we’ll make it clear: the world needs an international plan that meets the latest science and gets us back to safety.”

  1. Hi,
I have read something about activism and animation you wrote on the production of Meatrix. I am doing graduate work in Canada, and would like to create an animation on a place called Oak Ridges Moraine in Ontario. I have no experience in making animation though. I have about a year and three months to work on it. My main goal is to engage citiznes to create characters and translate their stories of the Moraine into an animation. This animation can then be presented to the general public for education and communciation purposes. Can you point me to any direction online to find tools to make animation?
